Corey Tyree is the founder and CEO of Knoxville-based Trillium Renewable Chemicals, where he leads fundraising, hiring, and strategy. Corey recently closed an $11M Series A financing round for Trillium and obtained an additional $2.5M from the Department of Energy. Corey has built an experienced team and secured partnerships with LEGO, Solvay, Hyosung, and Synthomer. He started his career as a chemical plant operator and went on to serve in various roles in engineering, plant management, and executive leadership. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering and is a graduate of Wharton’s Executive Program.
